Satellite equipment can come directly from a satellite provider or it can be purchased from another location. According to your personal preference you get your satellite equipment. Before going for it it's important to know about advantages and disadvantages of acquiring satellite equipment from certain locations.
Mostly subscribers get their equipment through satellite provider. The biggest advantage of doing so is that the equipment
can often be obtained for little or no cost, as providers offer valuable deals and discounts on satellite receivers and dishes. This means you can become a customer without having to pay equipment fees. But when you decide to switch television providers you will have to return the equipment. Some time problem may arise if the equipment is damaged.

Purchasing satellite is good but before paying for the equipment it's important to ensure the compatibility, as not all satellite receivers are compatible with every satellite provider.
